MARYHILL WINERY WA
Maryhill Winery is Washington State’s premier destination winery featuring one of the
Northwest’s most desirable microclimates for growing grapes. Picnicking is encouraged
on the spacious and scenic covered arbor with perfect river views.
Possibly the most enjoyable part of Maryhill, from a grower’s standpoint, is the wide variety of grapes the area will support – including several difficult to grow varietals often stunted in many of the region’s other vineyards.
They focus their vineyards on producing premium red wines, with special attention to Syrah and Sangiovese. Their larger vineyards include blocks of Zinfandel, Viognier, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon vines, as well as smaller sections for Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Grenache.
The Celilo Room & Wine Tasting Tour packages go to Maryhill Winery!
Cascade Cliffs Vineyard & Winery
Majestic riverfront scenery, towering 400 foot basalt cliffs and luscious sun-soaked vineyards host a petite winery’s distinctive estate varietals. Ask questions about the hard to grow Nebllio grape, stick your nose in a glass, hike the vineyards or chose a chore. Family picnicking is welcome.
Sunshine Mill
The Sunshine Mill tasting room features the wines of Quenett Winery in a unique, world-class environment that you must see for yourself!
Wine tasting begins daily at 12:00pm.
Our interior incorporates the original machinery of the flour mill that occupied this building since 1918! The history of the building is cherished by the community of The Dalles and is found inspiring by visitors.
Waving Tree Vineyards & WineryWines produced here include: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Barbera, Grenache, Syrah and Viognier. A small tasting room near Maryhill Park with very informative staff. Family owned and run. It’s my personal favorite for wine,& is another gem on the Value menu!
Jacob Williams
Jacob Williams Winery is a family owned and operated winery in the Columbia River Gorge with a Tasting Room in Lyle, WA. The winery produces under 2000 cases of ultra premium wine annually from some of the best vineyards in the Columbia Valley AVA and around the Columbia River Gorge.
Brad Gearhart owns and operates Jacob Williams with the help of award-winning wine consultant John Haw, formerly of Maryhill and Sokol Blosser. Brad graduated from the University of Oregon in the 1987 and moved to Portland in 1992. He and his college roommate started Dry Hollow Vineyards in The Dalles in 2003. The wine operations and production were moved to an updated facility in Hood River a few years later, and the name was changed to Jacob Williams after Brad’s two sons.
Cor
COR Cellars was started in 2005 by Luke Bradford. After working in the Val D’Orcia in southern Tuscany for Tenuta di Trinoro and then on Mt Etna in Sicily for Passopisciaro from 2000-2002, Luke returned to Washington and went to work as assistant winemaker for Wind River Cellars and then Syncline Wine Cellars in the Columbia River Gorge.
Seeing the enormous potential in Washington fruit, Luke embarked on his own and planted vineyards. Moving into a renovated facility in Kyle, WA in 2006, CAR Cellars now makes five wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Momentum (Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Malbec), Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Alba Cor (Pinot Gris/Gewurztraminer.)
Domaine Poullion
Domaine Pouillon welcomes you! Our family-owned and operated winery nestles into the beautiful Columbia River Gorge near Lyle, Washington. Each year we produce 1500 cases of premium wine and 50 happy chickens (maybe one or two cranky ones…) Our farming philosophy includes biodynamics and hand-crafting with minimal mechanization in our “petit” winery.
Syncline
syn•cline \’sin-klin\ n (1873) : a trough of stratified rock in which the beds dip toward each other from either side.
Syncline’s first vintage consisted of 76 cases of Celilo Vineyards Pinot Noir from vines planted in 1972. The next year, production was increased to include Columbia Valley Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah. At the same time we began working with vineyards planted with Viognier, Grenache, Mourvedre, Roussanne, Cinsault, Counoise and more Syrah. We have kept production under 3,000 cases annually to ensure that we stay intimate with each barrel and every vine.
Marshal’s Winery & Vineyard
Marshal’s Winery is a small but growing operation with a wide range of mouth watering wines to satisfy everyone’s tasting pleasure. Varieties exclusive only to Marshal’s Vineyard round out a menu of great wine, atmosphere and fresh local treats. The Marshal family has been making a wide base of varietals since 1999. The vines that stretch over the hills produce cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, syrah and, most recently, barbera. Ron Marshal also crafts cooler white varietals from White Salmon grapes. You are often greeted personally by “Mr. Ron Jon”, if not handed a plate of smoked salmon by his lovely wife Lily, along with your wines! We enjoy the Gold Medal Barbera and Syrah Reserve here.
MemalooseGrown and produced in a National Scenic Area by the McCormick Family, these wines are prepared to
complement food. Estate vineyard sites lie on both the Washington and Oregon slopes of the Columbia River, at various elevations and in distinct micro-climates spread throughout this exciting, young AVA. Our spectacular winery and tasting room setting overlooks the AVA from high above the River near Lyle, Washington.

Cathedral Ridge Winery

The friendly staff offers free tasting of our award-winning, premium wines. Enjoy a picnic with views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and the scenic Gorge. Wonderful wines and “wine perfect foods” make every visit memorable. Recently voted “Oregon Winery of the Year” by Wine Press Northwest, Fall 2006.
The Gorge White House
We proudly feature local Columbia Gorge products and what we feel are special gourmet products, including local wine, micro-brews, fruit, flowers, jams, artisan cheeses, wild sockeye smoked salmon, d’anjou pear vinegar, dried fruit, pourable chocolate sauces and more.
We like to call ourselves the “chamber of commerce” of Columbia Gorge wines! We currently have 34 different wineries represented at The Gorge White House. We offer 6 to 12 wines daily, usually half red and half whites and our surprising local pear wine (we say surprising because it is not what you expect and it is made out of local pears!). Our wine tasting selections change continuously so our guests may enjoy the many tastes and styles of our local winemakers. We offer 2 beers on tap at any one time from the 5 micro-breweries in our area. Our guests can choose to purchase the entire daily flight of wine or beer flight or elect to taste a single wine or beer offered for $1.00. We also offer wine and beer by the glass.
Mt. Hood Winery
Enjoy the fruits of the finest growing region in the Pacific Northwest. It’s the “sweet spot” between the cool, wet Willamette Valley and the hot, dry Eastern Oregon climate.
The Pinot Noir is outstanding here and this winery will present more top quality wines as their production grows.
Nestled among the orchards of the Hood River Valley, this newly opened tasting room mirrors the style of the area’s roadside fruit markets. The young winery produces several varietals, Chardonnay and pinot noir, with a Port bottling promised by winter.
The Pines
The long awaited tasting room from the Pines owned by Loni Wright, is now in downtown Hood River. Open Thurs.-Sunday, The Pines features some of the best Reds known to wine tasters! They offer spicy, full-bodied wines with a strong balance between fruit and alcohol.
The Pines 1852 is a family-owned and operated winery and vineyard.
The Pines Vineyard’s Old Vine Zinfandel was first planted by an Italian stone mason in the late 1800s. Louis Comini made his home in Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge, bringing with him grape vines from his homeland in Genoa, Italy. These original plants are still producing today by winemaker Peter Rossback and owner Lonni Wright.
The century Old Vine Zinfandel make The Pines one of the oldest vineyards in the Northwest.
